There's a terrific new food blog for cooking in the Liturgical Year called Catholic Cuisine. It's already filled with great ideas, recipes, and wonderful photos. This is a collaborative effort, and such a wonderful group of contributors. I'm quite honored to be rubbing elbows with these ladies!

Visit today and visit often! Enjoy!

...and Stay for Cake! That's the newest 4Real Cooking Blog from Margaret at Minnesota Mom. I know she's a kindred spirit and I plan on checking often -- she loves coffee and chocolate! Need I say more?

Across the Atlantic Bookworm has opened Bookworm's Cook Book. She present recipes from several unique perspectives (at least in my view), some Jewish cooking (as her husband is Jewish), British Liturgical Year recipes and other English recipes. Looking forward to the recipes, Kathryn!

And thank you, Donna, for hosting!

Meredith has commenced the first The Fair of Loveliness of Simple Elegance in the Kitchen. So inspiring! I'm loving the peek into the kitchen, the heart and hearth of the homes. Now I can imagine my 4Real friends sipping their tea in their lovely kitchens.

I put the tour of my kitchen on my other blog. Not sure why I wasn't thinking Kitchen and Cooking go together! Silly me!

I'm looking forward to the other Loveliness Fairs, and I'll be hosting the Loveliness of Advent Fair on November 27. Looking forward to all the Fairs!

I won a contest! A cooking contest, no less! Becki at Cooking with Whine had a Cooking for Company post seeking crock pot roast suggestions. I submitted this Stracotto al Caffe, Beef Braised in Coffee recipe that I have changed to work with the crock pot. Since I wrote this post, I've cooked this meal several times, each time it's just as delicious. It's considered a "special meal" for my husband, but it's so wonderful that I use up so little of my time to prepare it.

What I like best of all is that someone without food allergies wants to use my recipe! The reason I worked with this recipe was that I could adjust it to make it wheat, egg and dairy free--safe to serve at dinner for my son. It thrills me to think someone with an ordinary diet thinks it sounds tasty to them, too. Thanks so much, Becki!

Read about The French Way in my family blog. How inspiring for my family table to read these French cultural traditions about their gardens, cooking and family meals.
